Umoja Foundation Group focuses on economic and environmental sustainability by working with small-scale farmers to enhance food security, production, and climate adaptation while promoting conservation practices. Volunteers assist local farmers by introducing techniques to prevent soil erosion, teaching organic farming methods to reduce chemical use, and supporting both livestock management and food security. Volunteer activities include constructing greenhouses, improving farming management to increase output, introducing organic farming skills, providing the best artificial insemination breeds, and assisting with crop maintenance and planting of crops like tomatoes, onions, maize, and millet.
