Umoja Foundation Group is a grassroot community based organization located in Kakamega county in the Republic of Kenya.


Support education to reduce dropout, early marriages, and poverty.



Mimi Cavelier is from France, she had recently completed her volunteer program at Umoja Foundation Group.
Collaborating directly with the local project in a respectful way, working as a team, dialoguing and internalizing the ways of doing local culture,the volunteer becomes an agent of Change upon their return.

Assist with daily office tasks and administrative duties to support the organization.

Participate in planting trees, cleaning markets, and other environmental activities.

Provide professional services at partner health facilities under Ministry of Health guidelines.

Help with grant proposals and fundraising efforts in your home country.

Visit schools to give talks on HIV/AIDS, STDs, early pregnancy, and other health topics.

Support Orphans and Vulnerable Children with school materials and other assistance.

Teach subjects like English, Maths, Science, or others at nearby partner schools.

Help control jiggers among disadvantaged children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.





The stadium is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Western Stima of the Kenyan Premier League. The stadium has a capacity of 25,000.
Volunteers will be awarded with a certificate of completion and recommendation letters and gifts as they leave.
Volunteers will be acquainted with the history of the Umoja foundation, the campus environment and be given an overview of our project.
